Job Title: Test Stand Engineer

Working Pattern: Full time /On-site 5 days

Working location: Indianapolis, IN

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Test Stand Engineer that will define, install, and operate test rigs on gas turbine engine hardware and subsystems in accordance with local standards.

What you will be doing

  • Support the design and definition of new test rigs. Test rigs will vary in complexity and application across multiple test stands, and laboratories, and engine programs
  • Responsible for setup and installation of test rigs.
  • Responsible for creating data collection profiles
  • Responsible for safe operation of test rigs and data collection
  • Responsible for raw data interrogation and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for repair and maintenance of test stand and laboratory spaces, including preservation.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 3 + years experience OR;
    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology with 1+ year of experience OR;
    • Master's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology OR;
    • JD/PhD
    • Must be a US citizen to be considered for this role

    Preferred Requirements:

    • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated mechanical and electronics troubleshooting experience
    • Fundamental understanding of data acquisition and instrumentation functionality
    • Demonstrate written and oral communication to a variety of audiences
    • Strong documentation skills and procedural improvement & compliance
    • Efficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
    • Experience with National Instruments LabView
    • Experience with hydraulic control equipment
    • Experience with fundamental mechanical or material testing
    • Experience with design of experiments and control of variables
    • Experience with gas turbine engines, and gas turbine engine hardware
    • Airframe (A) and Powerplant (P) license would be preferred
    • Flexibility to adjust job assignments depending on priority and program demands

    Please note: Work schedule is 9/80.
