Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain quality systems to support internal and external quality standards.  Participate with internal teams in quality system implementation and serve as ongoing support for quality issues.

This role is contributing to the Motion business for IEC Low Voltage Division based in Faridabad, India

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Defines processes and procedures for various commodities in accordance with standard requirements and ABB Group procedures, directives, and policies on quality and issue SOP for the process.
  • Perform periodic process audits to check the compliance of activities with requirements, procedures, and directives.  Prepares non-conformity reports and implementation of preventive actions at supplier.
  • Analyze Supplier quality issues at various stages and initiate Preventive Actions, align quality processes as per ABB requirements through process audits & mistake proofing methods.
  • Responsible implementation of countermeasures as per 8D submitted by supplier and take up improvement projects at supplier end to enhance the component quality and systems.
  • Prepare and circulate MIS data on key performance indicators i.e. Quality performance, Cost of Poor Quality and process audit results.

Qualifications for the role
  • Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical engineering with 2 to 5 years’ experience of Induction motor manufacturing /Rotating Machines.
  • Knowledge about Foundry process and CNC machining processes and layout inspections.
  • Strong knowledge of PPAP documentation.
  • Knowledge in surface preparation processes and painting/ powder coating
  • Should be able to communicate with supplier on technical requirements and implement at supplier premises.
  • Lean 6 sigma knowledge.
