Job Description
At Lilly, we unite caring with discovery to make life better for people around the world. We are a global healthcare leader headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our employees around the world work to discover and bring life-changing medicines to those who need them, improve the understanding and management of disease, and give back to our communities through philanthropy and volunteerism. We give our best effort to our work, and we put people first. We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.
Overview: Obesity is a chronic disease affecting a significant portion of the population around the world, yet disease state awareness, access to information about options for appropriate care, and reimbursement pathways all remain limited. As a result, a growing number of patients are searching for private-market and digital providers for information and long-term weight management support. Lilly seeks to play an important role in addressing this challenge by building new partnership models—across telehealth, private care networks, pharmacies, employers, and insurers—to help more people access disease state education and other valuable resources to navigate care options.
Role Summary: Reporting to the Cardiometabolic Health (CMH) Business Unit Leader, you will strategically own and grow Lilly Switzerland’s CMH business-to-business (B2B) and Disease State Education (DSE) agenda—designing and launching value-based, compliant partnerships that expand patient resources within the private and digital healthcare ecosystem. This is a build-and-scale role: you will create new business models, develop executive-level relationships with potential partners, secure B2B partnerships, and drive measurable commercial and access outcomes in a top-priority growth area, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders across functions and levels of seniority.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set strategy and build the portfolio: Connect to company-level CMH strategy in order to define the localized B2B & DSE playbook in Switzerland; execute with clear priorities, governance, and success metrics.
- Create and scale new business models: Incubate partnership concepts from scratch (e.g., telehealth pathways, private networks, pharmacy programs, employer/insurer offerings) and scale what works.
- Develop and close high-impact partnerships: Build executive relationships, shape negotiation strategy, and lead compliant contracting in collaboration with Legal/Compliance, Market Access, and Procurement.
- Drive commercial and access outcomes: Build robust commercial plans and analytics; identify untapped opportunities through market mapping; monitor performance and optimize KPIs.
- Orchestrate cross-functional execution: Align Medical, Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and operations teams to deliver seamless partner launches and sustained results.
Required Competencies (What will make you successful):
- B2B / key account leadership: Proven experience owning complex B2B accounts or partnerships and delivering growth in healthcare or adjacent regulated industries.
- Private & digital ecosystem fluency: Strong understanding of eHealth/telehealth, private providers, pharmacy channels, corporate wellness programs, and the broader private healthcare ecosystem in Switzerland (and/or comparable markets).
- Build-from-scratch mindset: Entrepreneurial approach with the ability to create new business models, test/learn, and scale.
- Strategic & analytical rigor: Comfortable using data to size opportunities, set priorities, define metrics, and optimize performance.
- Executive communication & negotiation: Ability to influence senior stakeholders, lead complex negotiations, and build durable external relationships.
- Integrity & compliance orientation: Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct in a regulated environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, healthcare management, or related field; MBA/advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, key account management, partnerships, marketing, or sales, ideally within healthcare but also open to experience from other regulated sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic business plans and to lead cross-functional workstreams.
- German and English required; French is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Location: Geneva, Switzerland – partially remote working possible.
