This is an opportunity to combine technical cyber underwriting, broker engagement, and genuine autonomy within a highly respected, people first insurer.

Why join us?

The role:

Reporting to the Cyber Team Leader, you’ll be a senior member of a dedicated cyber unit underwriting both new business and renewals across open market and e‑trade platforms.

You’ll play a key role in supporting growth while maintaining underwriting discipline, acting as a referral point to colleagues and helping develop cyber capability across the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Underwriting and negotiating new business and renewal cyber risks within authority

  • Managing key renewal accounts with a focus on profitable retention

  • Building and strengthening trading relationships with broker partners, positioning us as a preferred cyber market

  • Acting as a technical referral point and supporting the development of underwriters within the team

  • Reviewing broker‑generated quotes and articulating product value to secure placements

  • Managing workflow through internal underwriting and e‑trade platforms (e.g. Acturis)

About you:

You’ll be an experienced cyber underwriter who enjoys combining technical underwriting with broker engagement and commercial decision‑making.

You’ll bring:

  • At least 3 years’ experience underwriting cyber insurance (preferable)

  • Proven experience across both new business and renewals

  • Strong broker and market relationships

  • Confidence handling referrals and supporting less experienced underwriters

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • Experience using e‑trade platforms (Acturis desirable, not essential)

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary plus generous annual bonus

  • Up to 16% employer pension contribution

  • Private medical and dental cover

  • Income protection and life assurance

  • Electric car scheme, travel insurance and emergency care benefits

  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (with buy/sell options)

  • Clear commitment to learning, development and long‑term career progression

Our UK Broker channel is the largest and fastest‑growing part of the business — and Cyber is central to our future.
