Job Title:  Data Architect

Department: Clinical Applications and Program Management

Location:  Riedman Campus, 100 Kings Highway
Rochester, NY 14610-0757, (Onsite & Remote)

Hours Per Week:  40

Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm 

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Data Architect at Rochester Regional Health, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data architecture that supports our healthcare initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, security, and accessibility, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and develop scalable data architectures that meet the current and future needs of the organization.

  • Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models.

  • Implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.

  • Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve data architecture and governance practices.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).

  • Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark).

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau). Proven experience in the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of healthcare data standards and regulations.

  • Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and SQL.

  • Experience with data integration tools and technologies (e.g., ETL, data warehousing, data lakes).

  • Strong knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Certification in Snowflake Snopro, Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Qlikview Developer Certification.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related role.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant.
