Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven, sales focused individual to be responsible for the development of futures relationships for RBC Capital Markets clients.

What will you do?

  • Execute Futures and Options in agency capacity.
  • Target and onboard new clients in licensed jurisdictions for Futures and Options business, both voice execution and DMA.
  • Grow revenues with both existing and new Futures and Options clients.
  • Establish good communication channels with Futures and Options sales, DMA sales support and Global Market sales and trading.
  • Support our global franchise.
  • Work with credit and documentation to ensure that risks are minimised for both the bank and clients.
  • Proactively identify operational risks/ control deficiencies in the business Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities.
  • Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks that you identify to your line manager and the relevant risk and control functions promptly. Failure to do so may subject you to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Market experience in Futures and Options execution for 2 years
  • Be CIRO and MX Registered for Futures and Options
  • Knowledge of pricing and trading options.
  • Knowledge of the responsibilities and roles of bank functions supporting business, and the ability to co-ordinate and direct these to meet business requirements.
  • Ability to drive transactions through product knowledge and understanding of client behaviour.
  • Through knowledge of all mainstream Equity, Commodity and Fixed Income products
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients and do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
