Position Overview 

We are seeking a Service Delivery Technician to support gateway deployment operations through effective documentation management, technical coordination, scheduling oversight, acceptance readiness, and deployment tracking. This role ensures smooth execution and a seamless transition of satellite gateway infrastructure from construction to operations and assurance workflows. 

The ideal candidate combines strong organizational capabilities with a solid technical understanding of satellite gateway systems and deployment processes. Candidates should have proven experience in telecommunications service delivery and a demonstrated ability to coordinate complex technical activities across diverse stakeholder groups while maintaining strict documentation standards. 

Operating in a fast‑paced satellite communications environment, this role plays a critical part in ensuring deployment excellence and operational readiness. Success requires balancing technical accuracy with schedule demands while upholding high standards of quality, compliance, and process discipline across international deployment activities. 

Key Responsibilities 

Documentation Management & Acceptance Readiness 

  • Prepare comprehensive acceptance packages for gateway sites, compiling technical specifications, test results, configuration documentation, and compliance certificates required for operational handover 
  • Maintain accurate and current documentation throughout the deployment lifecycle, ensuring all technical deliverables meet company standards and customer requirements 
  • Support configuration validation activities by coordinating testing schedules, documenting results, and tracking resolution of identified issues 
  • Ensure all delivery prerequisites are completed for timely gateway activation, including regulatory approvals, safety certifications, and technical acceptance criteria 

Technical Coordination & Deployment Tracking 

  • Track technical tasks across deployment teams, maintaining visibility of critical path activities and identifying potential schedule risks or resource conflicts 
  • Coordinate across teams including construction, RF engineering, network operations, and field services to ensure integrated project delivery 
  • Support deployment tracking through regular status updates, milestone reporting, and escalation management for technical or schedule issues 
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and project management to ensure alignment on delivery timelines and quality standards 

Operational Handover & Transition Management 

  • Ensure smooth execution and commercial‑ready transition into operations and assurance workflows by validating completion of all technical commissioning activities 
  • Coordinate with network operation centers to confirm readiness for service activation and ongoing monitoring integration 
  • Support handover documentation preparation including operational procedures, maintenance schedules, and technical reference materials 
  • Validate completion of training requirements and knowledge transfer activities for operational support teams  

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement 

  • Monitor compliance with established deployment procedures and quality standards throughout the service delivery lifecycle 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, documentation deficiencies, and coordination challenges 
  • Assist in development of standardized procedures and templates to improve deployment efficiency and consistency 
  • Participate in post-deployment reviews to capture lessons learned and implement process enhancements.  

Qualifications  

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, telecommunications, information technology, or related technical field 
  • Associate degree with relevant telecommunications experience accepted  

Experience 

  • Minimum 2+ years in telecommunications service delivery, network deployment, or technical project coordination 
  • Experience with telecommunications infrastructure projects and deployment processes
