About the team

You will be supporting the Digital LFI (Large Financial Institutions) QA Engineering group here.

We focus on delivering quality E-2-E Online Banking solutions for customers of large banks.

What separates us from other groups in Digital is that LFI builds customizations for each Bank to allow them to curate their own user experiences and integrations.

At a high level, we have a few teams that are going to be focused on maintenance work across our client codebases, and teams that are dedicated to working on the customizations outlined above.

What you will be doing

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be applying testing QA techniques to help ensure our software products and services are fit for the client.

As an Onshore QA resource, you will also be responsible for managing all internal FIS and Client defects that are raised in FIS JIRA and the client Defect Management System.

As an Onshore QA resource, you will be Client facing and may be required to lead Internal and Client Defect Triage calls.

• Develop test scenarios from a variety of information sources, including. functional/non-functional specifications, defects, project documentation, EPICs and Stories. · Create and execute test cases aligned to defined scenarios, ensuring appropriate breadth & depth of testing.

• Create and execute Automation test cases using Playwright for Web Testing and Maestro for Mobile Testing.

• Create and/or source test data required to execute test cases · Analyze test results against expected results and develop skills in diagnosing root causes of defects.

• Raise defects that are well written, containing appropriate levels of information, and follow these through to completion.

• Contribute to expanding and maintaining our test repository, including our suite of automated tests, data and test tools.

• Help the team continuously improve by raising improvement suggestions across a range of forums including retrospectives, and cross-team meetings.

What you bring

• QA Automation expertise for writing and executing Automation scripts.

• Knowledge of Typescript for use in Playwright for Web Automation.

• Knowledge of Mobile Automation for use in Maestro and Appium.

• Knowledge of methods, tools and technology used in software testing.

• Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools and technology used to create and support defect-free application software that meets needs of client/business partner.

• Knowledge of basic principles, processes, phases and roles of Quality Assurance methodologies.

• Knowledge of all different types of Testing including Smoke Testing, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, Defect Retesting.

• Excellent Knowledge of JIRA. Should be able to create JIRA filter queries as well as create their own JIRA Dashboards for Defect tracking.

• Skill in understanding and focusing on the client needs.

Bonus if you have

• Excellent command in JIRA and can create your own JIRA dashboards. • Expertise in Automation testing using Typescript.

• Prior experience with Playwright and Appium.
