Join our team in Amanpuri. Soundtracked by the whispers of coconut palms and the sighs of the Andaman Sea, Aman’s first resort, Amanpuri, presides over its own peninsula, promising guests space, serenity, an idyllic white-sand beach, exceptional restaurants and a Holistic Wellness Centre.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Engineering Department across all resort facilities and back of house.
• Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance programs are effectively implemented and monitored.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, water treatment, and mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire & life safety, and environmental regulations and Aman standards.
• Prepare, monitor, and control departmental budgets, expenses, procurement, and CAPEX projects.
• Manage renovation works, room upgrades, and engineering projects in coordination with contractors and operational departments.
• Drive sustainability, energy conservation, and cost-saving initiatives throughout the resort.
• Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team through training, performance management, and succession planning.
• Respond promptly to operational emergencies and maintenance issues to minimize disruption to guests and operations.
• Maintain accurate technical records, maintenance logs, compliance documentation, and regular reporting to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 3-5 years of engineering management experience in luxury hospitality or resort operations.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, preventive maintenance, and project management.
- Proven leadership, team management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage operational priorities effectively.
- Good command of English communication, computer literacy, and understanding of safety, fire & life safety, and environmental compliance standards.
