Job Description
What You’ll Do:
The Employment team, within Legal and Government Affairs (LGA), partners closely with the People team and business leaders to support CoreWeave’s global workforce by delivering practical employment law guidance and building scalable, compliant employment frameworks across the jurisdictions in which we operate. In this role, you will advise on a broad range of U.S. and international employment law issues and help operationalize employment programs, policies, and practices that support a rapidly expanding organization.
About the role:
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Counsel, Employment, who will report to the Associate General Counsel, Employment, to advise on a broad range of employment law issues affecting CoreWeave’s global workforce. You will partner closely with the People team, and collaborate frequently with other key stakeholders, including Accounting, Payroll, Tax, Corporate Development, and Securities, to address workforce issues, manage legal risk, and support consistent employment practices as CoreWeave continues to scale.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting employment law issues in a multi-jurisdictional environment, preferably in a high-growth, technology environment. If hired, you will help support and implement CoreWeave’s employment strategy, programs, and policies while complying with applicable law in multiple jurisdictions in which CoreWeave operates.
In this role, you will:
- Provide day-to-day legal advice and support under the direction of the Associate General Counsel, Employment on a variety of U.S. and global employment law matters, including recruiting, hiring, and terminations, employment and separation documentation, EORs and PEOs, compensation and benefits, leaves of absence, reasonable accommodations, performance management, restrictive covenants, employee classifications, employment disputes, organizational restructures, and transactional-related employment matters.
- Provide timely, business-focused advice and counseling in support of CoreWeave’s workforce strategies and policies, including identifying jurisdiction-specific risks and escalating issues as appropriate, in accordance with evolving laws and regulations.
- Rapidly build trusted and inclusive partnerships with our People team and provide clear insights to address concerns and reach best outcomes.
- Review, interpret, draft, and update company policies and procedures.
- Monitor legislation, regulations, case law and government enforcement activities relating to relevant employment law areas, and surface key developments, trends, and risks to relevant Legal, People, and business partners.
- Help build a robust corporate compliance program, including assisting with enhancing and maintaining employment policies, processes, and training programs with scalable frameworks.
- Conduct legal research on U.S. and international employment law issues and prepare summaries and recommendations for review by senior team members.
- Work collaboratively to prioritize business objectives and support overall company success in a fast-paced, global operating environment.
- Support the management of outside counsel—including local counsel in non-U.S. jurisdictions—by coordinating requests, reviewing work product, and escalating recommendations as appropriate.
- Support other projects, as needed.
