Job Description

About Us

At Prenuvo, we are on a mission to flip the paradigm from reactive “sick-care” to proactive health care. Our award-winning whole body scan is fast (under 1 hour), safe (MRI has no ionizing radiation), and non-invasive (no contrast). Our unique integrated stack of optimized hardware, software, and increasingly AI, coupled with the patient-centric experience across our domestic and global clinics, have allowed us to lead the change against “we caught it too late again".

We are looking for a Senior Counsel - Litigation & Employment to join our legal team and contribute to our mission of making a meaningful impact on preventative health. You will manage the company’s full litigation portfolio and serve as the go-to legal partner for our People & Culture team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will lead strategy across commercial disputes, medical malpractice claims, and employment matters while proactively reducing risk across a fast-scaling, multi–jurisdictional healthcare business.

This is a role suited to someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, can shift between strategic counseling and hands-on execution, and communicates legal concepts in plain language to clinical and business leaders.

Help reshape the world through proactive healthcare while working with cutting-edge technology and high performing teams with deep expertise - join us to make a difference in people’s lives!

What You'll Do

  • Track and report on litigation matters, exposure, and budgets to the General Counsel.

Proactive Risk Management

  • Partner with operations teams to identify liability risks in service delivery and implement process improvements that reduce exposure.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting Prenuvo's business across the US, Canada, UK, and Australia.
  • Develop and deliver training for managers and clinical staff on litigation prevention and regulatory compliance topics.

Employment Law & People Advisory

  • Serve as primary legal advisor to the People & Culture team on employee relations, including performance management, workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, accommodation requests, and separations.
  • Draft, review, and update employment policies and handbooks to align with applicable laws across all jurisdictions where Prenuvo operates.
  • Advise on employment-related risk in connection with workforce changes, reductions, and organizational restructuring.

General

  • Manage relationships with outside counsel.
  • Contribute to building the legal team's processes and infrastructure to support a high-growth healthcare company.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school (or equivalent legal qualification from a jurisdiction where Prenuvo operates) and active bar membership in good standing in at least one US state.
  • 7+ years of legal experience in litigation (healthcare liability experience required) and employment law, with a mix of law firm and in-house experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing outside counsel, including strategy, budget, and performance.
