About the role
Location: West Chester, OH
Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an immediate opening for a motivated IT Procurement Specialist. The successful candidate should possess a thorough understanding of the business and manufacturing applications market based upon their experience either as a procurement professional buying software and IT services or an experienced information technology (“IT”) professional looking to build off their past. This dynamic position serves as a liaison between Cliffs internal IT users, Cliffs information security, Cliffs legal, and external channel partners and service providers.
The role will be onsite at our West Chester, Ohio Regional Office.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Negotiate commercial aspects of software licenses, order forms, and service agreements.
- Identify cost opportunities and facilitate bidding.
- Identify risk with software and coordinate internal review when appropriate.
- Assist with tracking and elimination of duplicate licensing.
- Review specifications and issue purchase orders for software, licenses, support and IT services.
- Assist with resolving billing issues.
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Five years of experience in the information technology field or procurement experience buying business and manufacturing application software and services.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail oriented
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to understand technical specifications
- Fundamental understanding of the legal aspects associated with software licenses and service agreements
