About Us

Heidelberg Materials is one of the largest suppliers of building materials worldwide. In North America, the company operates more than 450 locations throughout the United States and Canada, employing approximately 9,000 people.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Monitor and control the cement manufacturing process from the Remote Optimization Center, based in Dallas, Texas.

  • Review equipment status, process parameters, and alarms to ensure the plant operates within defined parameters and adheres to standard operating procedures.

  • Ensure safe and continuous plant operations, maintaining product quality, and complying with environmental regulations. This is achieved through close coordination with plant personnel and other HROC staff.

  • Identify and troubleshoot process and equipment issues, resolving them promptly by collaborating with plant and HROC teams to minimize downtime and production losses.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of process parameters, equipment readings, and operational activities. These records support the analysis of operational data to detect trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

What Are We Looking For

  • Proven ability to safely operate a cement plant in a 24/7 environment, with extensive control room experience, disciplined decision making, strong understanding of kiln and mill processes, and familiarity with process control systems required to remotely operate a complex plant.

  • Bachelor of Science/Engineering degree, preferably in Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing. Technical certifications or vocational training in process operations or a related field may be substituted for a degree.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and precision.

  • Excellent communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel.

  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, and weekends.

  • Ability to travel within the United States and Canada as required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $84,900 to $113,193, and participation in our annual incentive plan.

  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions.

  • Highly competitive benefits programs are offered, including:

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage along with Prescription Drug Benefits.

  • Health Savings Account (HSA), Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), and Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

  • AD&D, Short- and Long-Term Disability Coverage, as well as Basic Life Insurance.
