The Role at a Glance

The Web Applications Developer II plans and develops new and current web functionality and applications. Provides support and maintenance on new and current applications. Gathers and analyzes requirements from university departments, faculty, and staff. Ensures all web functions are accessibility compliant. Incorporates responsive web design and technology into all site development. Manages web development using revision control software. This position reports to the Agency Program Manager.

Please note: Although this position is potentially eligible for telecommuting, it is required to work at our Headquarters (College Station, TX) for the first year. If selected as a finalist and required to relocate, please note that relocation expenses will not be covered by our organization.

Qualifications of the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Four years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases to produce dynamic web-based applications and consulting and/or strategy of web development/programming and in responsive web development.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to data security, and contract requirements. **Please note if selected as a finalist, you will be required to show proof of meeting this requirement.**

  • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Equivalency: Will consider an Associate’s Degree with six years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases to produce dynamic web-based applications and consulting and/or strategy of web development/programming and in responsive web development OR a High School Diploma/GED with eight years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases to produce dynamic web-based applications and consulting and/or strategy of web development/programming and in responsive web development.
