The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.The VP, Operations Business Strategy will lead the delivery and execution of strategic product and business initiatives, bridging business, technology, risk, and operations. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic leadership to drive enterprise-level outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute product, operational, and strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
- Partner with senior operations, business, risk and technology leadership to shape strategy, priorities, and roadmaps.
- Executive presentation deck coordination and creation related to strategy, priorities, roadmaps, etc. for internal and external audiences.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across business, product, risk and technology teams, including cross-functional operations issue action plan development, tracking and resolution.
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement using data insights, manage cross functional operations projects.
- Assess market trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decision-making.
- Develop and present recommendations, business cases, and strategic plans to managers.
- Drive end-to-end operations initiative delivery, including planning, execution, and performance tracking.
Experience
- Extensive experience in product management, business analysis, or strategic initiatives.
- Proven ability to operate across both execution and strategic leadership levels.
- Experience working in agile environments and leading cross-functional teams.
- Background in financial services or regulated industries preferred
- Strong track record of delivering complex, process/technology-driven solutions.
Skills
- Very strong presentation skills including creation and coordination of executive materials, using PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Strong understanding of product, business operations, and technology delivery.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business insights.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong project, program, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field preferred.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $110K - $173K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
