HR Business Partner – JLL
What this job involves:
LaSalle Investment Management, the investment division of JLL, is seeking an HR Business Partner to lead Human Resources initiatives for the Americas region. Based in Chicago, you will serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders across a $30 billion asset portfolio supporting approximately 350 employees throughout the US and Canada. This dynamic role encompasses the full employee lifecycle—from talent acquisition and performance management to compensation planning and employee relations. As a trusted advisor, you will develop and drive programs that optimize talent, structure, and culture while championing our Culture of Care values. You'll manage a team, influence business strategy, and contribute to global HR initiatives that strengthen communities and improve lives.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Serve as the primary HR contact for the Americas region, providing guidance on HR processes including performance management, talent development, compensation planning, and project management while managing HR Analyst and Talent Acquisitions Associate
- Partner with business leaders to influence and integrate targeted people strategies that drive business objectives, develop strategic staffing plans, and address performance gaps
- Champion Culture of Care values by driving engagement and productivity across the workforce, focusing on inclusiveness, belonging, and the overall people experience
- Support executive stakeholders with competing priorities across multiple geographies and business lines, providing coaching to elevate leadership teams collectively and individually
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, engaging with Legal teams and Knowledge Centers as appropriate
- Analyze HR analytics and provide strategic insights to grow the business, deliver results, and drive continuous HR improvement with commercially sound solutions
- Participate in LaSalle's international HR team on global human capital projects including leadership development, compensation programs, compliance, expatriate support, and engagement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in client-focused HR generalist role including recruitment, compensation, performance management, employee relations, project management, and integrated talent management
- Experience in Investment Management, Private Equity or Financial Services is strongly desired
- Bachelor's degree with major concentration in HR or business
- Proven track record as a trusted partner who influences business leaders and strategic direction of organizations
- Demonstrated ability to lead and operate within a matrixed organization with strong collaboration skills across all organizational levels
- Strong analytics, business, and financial acumen with ability to balance commerciality with risk and compliance mindset
- Results-oriented self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and can lead through complex situations as a change catalyst
- Effective communicator and presenter with proven influencing skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree and/or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, GPHR)
- Experience working in a global organization with demonstrated ability to work across cultures
- People management experience with ability to develop and mentor team members
- Familiarity with investment management business operations and strategy

Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $130,000-$170,000, dependent on experience, location, and market data. This role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. JLL offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, mental health support, generous paid time-off, paid parental leave, short-term and long-term disability, 401(k) with company match, and flexible spending accounts.
This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Estimated compensation for this position:
130,000.00 – 170,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
