Everest Evolution™, the Wholesale-Exclusive arm of Everest, serving the dynamic and rapidly growing U.S. E&S market. Everest Evolution™ offers Property and Casualty insurance products across multiple business units, with wholesale exclusivity for various products.
About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and experienced underwriter with a strong background in Wholesale E&S Casualty to help grow a profitable portfolio and deliver exceptional service. In this role, you will contribute to strategic growth initiatives, manage key wholesale broker relationships, and support Everest Evolution’s continued expansion in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage a profitable book of middle‑ to large‑market E&S Excess Casualty business, including General Liability and Commercial Automobile, within an assigned underwriting territory.
Support regional growth strategies and contribute to brand awareness efforts for Everest Evolution™.
Underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with established underwriting guidelines, authority levels, and referral processes.
Maintain underwriting discipline while balancing profitability, growth, and service excellence.
Cultivate, maintain, and expand strong relationships with appointed wholesale brokerage partners.
Partner with leadership to evaluate pricing, risk selection, and portfolio performance to ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives.
Collaborate closely with Actuarial, Claims, Loss Control, Operations, Finance, and IT teams to support underwriting and service outcomes.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to inform underwriting decisions and strategy.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field (insurance designations preferred).
3+ years of Wholesale E&S Casualty underwriting experience, with demonstrated success supporting portfolio profitability and growth.
Solid expertise in General Liability and Commercial Automobile lines.
Ability to work independently while exercising sound underwriting judgment and discipline.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Proven relationship‑building and influencing skills with brokers and internal partners.
Strong analytical ability to evaluate risk exposures, pricing adequacy, and portfolio performance.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $160,00 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
