Business Overview

Global Product Solutions business (GPS) partners across BlackRock to lead iShares and drive the commercial priorities for BlackRock’s investment products including Liquid Active, Private Markets, Hedge Funds and Retirement.

To support this mission, GPS product and investment strategy teams create and maintain a large suite of content for distribution across product and client segments. This content is how we broadcast our market insights and connect investment ideas to products - all critical components of our commercial strategy.

Aligned with these efforts, GPS is seeking a Team Lead to establish and scale a centralized Content Operations Hub in Mexico City supporting product and investment strategy teams in the Americas region for GPS. This role will be responsible for building team capability, optimizing content workflows and driving modernization across content creation and maintenance processes.

The Team Lead will oversee end-to-end content operations — partnering with strategist on content creation, facilitating reviews and distribution — while implementing scalable processes, governance and supporting technologies. This individual will play a critical role in increasing capacity for product and investment strategy teams, improving efficiency and enabling higher-value client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hub Leadership & Team Development
    • Build, lead and develop a high-performing content operations team in Mexico City
    • Establish an operating model, workflows and service levels, balancing team capacity, strategist needs and regulatory requirements
    • Partner with strategist teams to ensure seamless handoff of content pieces the new team will manage going forward
  • Content Creation & Lifecycle Management
    • Oversee management of a large inventory (300+ pieces) of marketing and product content
    • Coordinate with content creators and stakeholders as messaging evolves
    • Facilitate stakeholder reviews and ensure timely compliance and regulatory approvals
  • Distribution & Publishing
    • Facilitate accurate and timely publishing across platforms (e.g., internal repositories, BlackRock-owned websites etc.)
    • Partner with relevant teams across BlackRock to seek ways of standardizing and streamlining distribution processes
  • Design & Template Enablement
    • Oversee design support using existing templates and collaborate with Marketing on new template development
    • Drive consistency in branding and efficiency in content production
  • Platform, Governance & Process Optimization
    • Establish and enforce a scalable content governance framework
    • Drive adoption and optimization of content platforms (e.g., Internal “Seismic” document repository), including automation opportunities
    • Maintain content calendars and ensure alignment with business priorities
    • Develop reporting and analytics on content usage, performance and efficiency
  • Transformation & Continuous Improvement
    • Act as a key contributor to modernization of BlackRock’s content creation and update processes
    • Proactively identify and implement process improvements, automation and new technologies
    • Position the Mexico City hub as an early adopter of enhanced tools and operating models
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Build strong partnerships with GPS, Marketing, Compliance and Technology teams
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for content operations support and escalation

Required Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • Experience
    • 8+ years of experience in operations, marketing operations or related fields
    • Proven experience leading teams and building scalable operational functions
    • Experience working in financial services, asset management or highly regulated industries
  • Content & Marketing Operations Expertise
    • Understanding of content lifecycle management (creation, review, approval distribution)
    • Experience with content management and distribution platforms (e.g., Seismic or similar tools)
    • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory review processes
  • Operational & Strategic Skills
    • Strong process design and optimization capabilities, with a focus on scalability and efficiency
    • Experience implementing governance frameworks and driving operational discipline
    • Data-driven mindset with experience developing reporting and insights
  • Leadership & Collaboration
    • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong stakeholder management skills across global and cross-functional teams
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Technical & Analytical Capability
    • Comfort working with content technologies, workflow tools and automation solutions
    • Ability to assess systems and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
  • Other
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
    • Fluency in English required
    • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization
