Job Title: Quality Control Specialist
Work Location: Guam
Labor Category: Full-Time / Non-Exempt - union
Pay Rate: $23.22 per hour
Health & Welfare: $7.50 per hour
About the Role
The QC Specialist performs quality system audits and verification of contractual requirements and applicable regulations in direct support of the Military Unaccompanied Housing contract.
What You'll Be Doing
- Conduct routine on-site inspections of contractor-performed maintenance and repair work to ensure compliance with contract requirements, building codes, and applicable standards.
- Evaluate workmanship, materials, and safety practices; identify, document, and report deficiencies or non-compliance.
- Prepare and submit detailed daily inspection reports outlining findings, work progress, and any non-conformance issues.
- Verify that work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Monitor and document contractor performance using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Enforce established Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and interpret contract documents, drawings, and technical specifications to support accurate inspections.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience performing Quality Control inspections.
- Previous journeyman-level experience in commercial construction within skilled trades such as Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, and HVAC.
- OSHA certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CMMS or work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
- Ability to successfully complete a Tier 1 Public Trust background check, if required.
- Must be able to maintain access to government worksites.
- Valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.
- Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and handling documentation.
- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around potential hazards while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Availability to work on-call, alternate, and extended shifts as needed to meet mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
