What You Drive at DTNA

  • Daimler Truck North America LLC seeks a Senior Financial Planning Analyst - Net Assets and Cashflow based out of our office at 4555 N. Channel Avenue, Portland, OR 97217. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Job duties: Provide support, guidance, and oversight to DTNA Business Units for all planning activities (monthly forecast, EA, DBP, and FTR). Selfreliant preparation of planning presentation materials for Senior Management (DTNA CFO, DTNA executive management, Daimler Truck group senior management). Coordinate the consolidated reporting of DTNA planning periods in the Daimler Management Information System (MIF). Functional expert for the Cash flow (CFbIT), Net Asset and RoCE forecasting and reporting for DTNA. Vital and self-reliant participation in the reporting of quarterly results and preparation of supporting materials to Daimler Truck group result controlling. Collaborate with the different finance teams (accounting, treasury and controlling) on segment and HQ level, to synchronize free cash flow (direct) and CFbIT (indirect) forecasting. Develop cash flow forecasting model for TN’s direct and indirect cashflow forecasting by identifying relevant premises from future looking & historical data sources across the segment. Consolidation of the Trucks North America chances & risks for different planning periods in the risk management system (Service Now). Support with the setup of the ESG reporting for the Trucks North America segment. Close collaboration with the Business Intelligence team to maintain and update the Tagetik planning module. Provide ad hoc financial analysis and answer planning related requests from key business partners. Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline planning processes. Perform the necessary actions within the Corporate Planning and Reporting group, in order to maintain an environment of Integrity and Compliance.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in related field.
  • Must have experience with: complex Data Science, Machine Learning algorithms for converting business knowledge into actionable data insights; tools such as Excel, Tableau or Power BI for performing analysis to compute Metrics & Insights; visualization and data preparation tools (Python, R, SQL, Alteryx, Tableau Prep); processes for key working capital drivers with experience in revenue – trucks, aftermarket and service sales forecasting, and plant production/inventory forecasting; financial statements (P&L balance sheet and cash flow), including an understanding of the indirect and direct cash flow; analyzing past/present data & generating forecasts into future; and working with cross functional teams and delivering product in-line with cross functional stakeholder requirements.
