Position Summary
The Office of the Dean of Students is seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Summer Student Assistant to support the development of fundraising one‑pagers for the office and its various program units. This role will focus on gathering information, organizing content, and drafting clear, compelling summaries that highlight the impact and funding needs of each unit. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and an interest in storytelling and content development for fundraising or communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and collect data, program details, impact metrics, and key accomplishments from units within the Office of the Dean of Students.
- Draft concise and engaging written content for one‑page fundraising materials.
- Organize and structure collected information into clear outlines to prepare for final graphic design and layout.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure accuracy of information and alignment with unit priorities.
- Maintain organized files and content trackers to keep materials updated and accessible.
- Assist with other writing or content‑support tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly and professionally.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Position Type: Student Position (Summer)
Hours: 12–16 hours per week (flexible)
Salary: $10.50 per hour
