Job Description:

The Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading a recruiting team to drive strategies that influence candidate attraction, operational efficiency, and strong hiring‑leader partnerships. This role fosters a collaborative team environment and a service‑oriented culture while ensuring delivery of high‑quality sourcing and recruiting services. The Manager ensures a positive leader and candidate experience and is accountable for meeting key performance indicators established by the Director of Talent Acquisition.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with the Director of Talent Acquisition to develop and implement talent acquisition strategies for assigned service lines or portfolios.

  • Develops annual plans to achieve key performance indicators and provides monthly progress updates and recommendations for adjustments.

  • Partners with the Director, HR partners, and hiring leaders to assess and plan for current and future hiring needs.

  • Provides leadership, coaching, and supervisory support to direct reports.

  • Conducts regular performance discussions, recognition activities, and development check‑ins with team members.

  • Allocates departmental resources appropriately and requests additional resources as needed to ensure excellent service delivery.

  • Conducts routine rounding with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition team members to align expectations, share updates, and strengthen relationships.

  • Develops and implements short‑term and long‑term recruiting strategies to drive continuous improvement.

  • Identifies qualified internal and external candidates by screening resumes and conducting interviews via phone, in‑person, or virtual platforms.

  • Ensures open requisitions are filled efficiently with highly qualified, best‑fit candidates.

  • Posts jobs through internal and external media outlets and uses advanced sourcing techniques to identify passive and active candidates.

  • Implements strategies to attract diverse and inclusive candidate pools.

  • Collects, processes, and maintains applicant data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational policies and state/federal employment laws.

  • Develops and recommends job offer details, including experience ratings and internal equity considerations.

  • Delivers and negotiates job offers and communicates declinations professionally and timely.

  • Maintains current knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and ensures compliant recruitment practices.

  • Leads activities, monitors data, and evaluates the effectiveness of assigned Talent Acquisition programs and projects.

  • Coordinates and participates in recruitment activities, including job fairs, conferences, and other events.

  • Partners with the Director of Talent Acquisition to strategically utilize staffing agencies and search firms and acts as liaison between hiring managers and external vendors.

General Responsibilities:

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related field, including a minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience required.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:

SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification at the time of hire or attainment within 12 months of hire.

  • Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities with the ability to build, foster, and sustain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • Exhibits critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to design, measure, and optimize efficient recruitment workflows and processes.

  • Highly organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities, high‑volume requisitions, and concurrent team activities in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Possesses exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and with appropriate influence.

  • Technologically proficient, including mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems.

  • Applies strong business and financial acumen to align recruitment strategies with departmental and organizational goals.

  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to perform effectively under pressure while navigating changing priorities and organizational needs.
