About Fluidstack

We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.

We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.

We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!

About the Role

FluidStack is building hyperscale GPU data centers that power the world's leading AI labs—including Anthropic, Meta, Google, and Mistral. As a Data Center Superintendent, you will be our boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for executing large-scale, mission-critical construction projects from groundbreaking through commissioning and handoff. You will own daily site operations, coordinate trades and subcontractors, enforce safety and quality standards, and drive schedules to meet aggressive delivery milestones. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role at the center of FluidStack's infrastructure buildout.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of on-site construction experience on large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects

  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple subcontractors, GC relationships, and union representatives simultaneously

  • Strong working knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance standards (OSHA, NFPA, NEC)

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex structural, mechanical, and electrical construction drawings, specs, and RFIs

  • Proven ability to manage project schedules, logistics, and on-site materials and equipment coordination

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to report progress clearly to internal stakeholders and external partners

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience specifically in hyperscale data center construction (50MW+ capacity, $100M+ budgets)

  • Experience overseeing commissioning phases (Level 3, 4, and 5) through facility operations handoff

  • Background with hyperscale operators or developers such as AWS, Meta, Vantage, QTS, or similar

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field

  • Familiarity with prefabrication strategies and their application in accelerating hyperscale delivery timelines

  • Experience managing construction within or adjacent to live, high-uptime environments

  • Travel 75%+ to active sites or as needed for projects.

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).

  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
