Your Impact
The primary purpose of this role is to provide expert guidance and drive continuous enhancement of technology business management processes. This includes researching and providing thought leadership and guidance to the rest of the team. This role maintains positive relationships with technology stakeholders and vendors, and partners closely with others to define and maintain service level agreements (SLAs), objectives and key results, and other performance metrics.
What You Will Do
- Analyzes data to detect trends, make recommendations, and provide reporting requirements for TBM processes supported.
- Designs ways to identify and document process measures, issues and opportunities, adherence, and waste in the processes supported.
- Leads efforts to develop standard operating procedures and process optimization initiatives driven by best practices and industry trends.
- Provides guidance, coaching, training, and mentorship to more junior level analysts and assists them with complex tasks, through sharing an in-depth understanding of company and industry methodologies, policies, standards, and controls.
- Develops relationships with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, sourcing, and security to ensure processes remain compliant with company regulations and process requirements while serving as a liaison between technology organization and business groups.
- Technology Vendor Management Responsibilities
- General Vendor Management
- Manages vendors performance and risks, contract compliance, and overall costs to drive savings and efficiencies, including taking action from complex, contractual SLAs and obligations.
- Develops vendor requirements and performance scorecards in partnership with technology areas and leads the tracking and presentation of key vendor performance metrics.
- Partners with enterprise strategic sourcing and key internal resources to ensure requirements and quality standards are met and formulates plans to drive stronger quality standards among the technology portfolio.
- Leads efforts to strengthen vendor partnerships like the technology vendor summit, top-to-tops, business reviews, and executive briefing visits to vendor locations, as well as vendor sponsored events for associates.
- Invoice Management
- Executes and troubleshoots the full lifecycle for purchase operations from order entry, receipts (as needed), invoicing, and ongoing business/vendor support accurately, timely, and in accordance with company policies and procedures and proper audit trail.
- Works collaboratively with sourcing and e-procurement team to drive the ongoing optimization of buying channels to drive work away from manual entry more into predefined-defined buying channels.
- Leads the invoice management team's advisory on potential new or modified purchasing systems, policies, and procedures to understand impact to the team's processes, customers, and/or vendors.
- Software/Hardware Asset Management
- Interacts with the asset management systems to ensure data quality of new or changed asset, license, and contract records; creates reports when required.
- Guides and advises the team in the development of effective licensing positions accurately in the software asset management tool and generates software reconciliation reports.
- Guides and advises work related to the recovery and possible redeployment of assets and redundancy elimination efforts to drive cost-savings.
- Manages data definitions and process workflows for more complex processes to ensure data quality.
- Drives the installation of discovery agents on assets within the system environment and mitigates existing discovery gaps.
- Drives audit processes forward with a detailed understanding of licensing position and makes recommendations on forward strategy.
- Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- Drives resolution for data gaps and discrepancies while also providing normalization rules to ensure data consistency.
- Provides troubleshooting assistance to complex discovery issues.
- Sets quality expectations and architecture for data gathered from discovery agents and data imported into CMDB.
- Proactively partners with other technology teams to identify and integrate assets that cannot be discovered into the CMDB.
- Holds other technology teams accountable for following the published asset management policy, standard, and procedure documents.
- Drives change management efforts to further data integrity within the CMDB.
- Technology Business Management Responsibilities
- Technology Product and Resource Operations Management
- Delivers clear and actionable reporting through a strong understanding of database structure, data modeling, data visualizations and while using SQL to extract, combine and normalize data.
- Translates business requirements into system functionality and solutions through close collaboration with engineering teams or other implementation partners.
- Provides thought leadership across processes and tools to ensure holistic solutions are delivered in support of product and resource operations management.
- Drives TBM process improvement and implementations including providing expert level review and sign off of test scenarios/plans and training content to ensure requirements are met, end-to-end integrations are considered, and data governance supports cross-functional impacts.
- Leads collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to support alignment and synergy of processes and procedures.
- Leads execution of the team roadmap, driving improvement of process and tool usage based on best practices and industry trends while aligning to overall technology strategy.
- Technology Investment Management
- Analyzes large and complex volumes of data to provide recommendations to shift technology investment decisions.
- Supports configuration of the TBM software tool, using advanced programming skills to make reporting updates, data calculations, and dashboard updates; optimizes both the model and the views.
- Serves as production technical support owner (operates service request process) and manages technical integrations to other systems, single sign-on, and data link while also overseeing relationship with external vendor for system upgrades and functionality.
- Provides hands on support to the TBM and technology finance VPs in preparing the yearly technology functional plan and works with the TBM VP to prepare presentations for the quarterly business review meetings.
- Operational Excellence
- Manages large-scale, cross-functional, complex process improvement projects while scoping other projects in the pipeline.
- Analyzes and develops solutions that facilitate process standardization, continuous productivity, capacity, and quality improvement across all dimensions.
- Chief Information Officer (CIO) Enablement
- Manages production (design, layout, creation) of all technology Board of Directors, quarterly officer meeting, technology town hall, and other events as assigned.
- Collaborates closely with technology leaders’ chiefs of staff to create and manage events calendar and facilitate timely execution of senior leadership requests for documents.
- Works closely with TBM leadership to plan communication needs and facilitate execution of those requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree computer science, computer information systems, business administration, finance, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
- 6 years of experience in technology, finance/accounting, procurement, business, operations, or related area
- 4 years of experience analyzing data to detect trends, make recommendations, and provide insights
- 4 years of experience working in a large matrixed organization with collaboration across various levels within the organization including with international teams
Preferred Skills/Education
- 4 years of experience with IT delivery, development, and operational processes - understanding engineering, software development lifecycle, database, architecture, configuration management database, and how each of these systems support each other to run a technology organization
- 5 years of experience in process management, business process improvement, business process management, or value stream mapping and/or industry applying LEAN practices
- trained or certified, Green or Black Belt, or accredited certification equivalent
