About the Role
We are seeking a Digital Trim Model Maker, supporting the creation and quality validation of 3D digital trim assets used in digital product creation workflows. This role expands internal trim digitization capacity by creating 3D trim models and textures (e.g., buttons, zippers, labels, hardware), contributing to QA processes, R&D initiatives, and digital trim library updates.What You'll Do
Trim Digitization Capacity Expansion
• Create 3D digital trim models such as buttons, zippers, labels, and hardware
• Digitize trims from scratch based on technical drawing, or leveraging available resources to create higher quality digital trims
• Support internal trim digitization capacity through inhouse model creation
3D Modelling
• Build accurate 3D trim models using Blender
• Ensure models are created following the enterprise standard, and support standard improvement
3D Texture Creation
• Create PBR textures and materials using Substance tools
• Support texture preparation using Adobe tools such as Photoshop
• Ensure visual consistency of digital trim assets
Quality Assurance
• Perform QA checks on 3D trim models and textures
• Identify modelling or texture issues and support necessary corrections
Research and Proof of Concept
• Support R&D initiatives related to trim digitization workflows
• Participate in proof of concept testing for new tools or methods
Accreditation Support
• Assist in internal accreditation related to digital trim modelling standards
• Support documentation and process validation when required
Digital Trim Library Updates
• Upload new trim assets to the digital trim library
• Update trim tracking files and related documentation
Who You Are
• Bachelor degree in a relevant field such as 3D design, digital media, product design, or related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in 3D modelling or digital asset creation
• Experience using 3D modelling software such as Blender
• Experience with Substance tools for texture creation
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop
• Strong attention to detail when creating digital assets
• Ability to work in a structured digital production workflow
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using CLO 3D
• Background working with trim suppliers
• Portfolio submission demonstrating 3D modelling and texture creation is required.
