Contract Terms: Permanent ,40 hours per week
THE TEAM
Reporting to the Senior Director HR, the HRM provides HR advice to employees and managers for a geographic area within a matrix organisation. The EMEA HR team is responsible (by Client Group) for providing a comprehensive HR service (throughout the entire employee lifecycle) to the assigned business units/functions across EMEA, ensuring that managers and employees within this remit are equipped with the best tools to foster a highly empowered, people first, innovative culture.
THE JOB
The role’s primary function is to partner with the EMEA based leaders across assigned client alignment in GSA, Netherlands, Poland and Czechia to develop creative solutions to mitigate challenges across their workforce.
Although this role formally sits within the EMEA Regional team, the expectation is that the individual will actively collaborate with the Business operations and Technology HR teams as well as our COE functions. This collaboration is essential to ensure that efforts are aligned, scalable, and have a meaningful impact across all areas of the business.
You will be a strong communicator, solution focused, commercially aware and able to effectively partner with the business to provide guidance, direction, and support on all HR issues in line with business strategy to your dedicated client groups.
You will be a key player in the process standardisation, and are responsible for driving forward a central global agenda always prioritizing working towards global standards whilst recognizing the impact of local culture
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Planning & Execution
- Implement Global, regional and local HR strategies that support business objectives across functions, markets & regions.
- Translate organizational goals into actionable HR initiatives and roadmaps.
- Lead current and future workforce planning, talent initiatives, and organizational design efforts.
- Provide strong commercial human resource support, including regular review of current practice, HR procedure and policy, making recommendations and implementing human resource strategy to effectively meet the business needs.
- Provide accurate and consistent support on the employee life cycle and basic employee relations issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with line managers within the business.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a strategic advisor to Global HRBPs and business leaders, fostering alignment across the matrix.
- Partner with CoEs (e.g., Talent, Shared Service & B&I) to ensure cohesive delivery of HR programs.
- Act as liaison between market/regional and global HR strategies.
- Facilitate cross-regional and cross-functional HR initiatives, ensuring consistency and local relevance.
Change Management & Transformation
- Coach all levels of management on people strategy.
- Lead or support HR transformation projects, including process optimization and digitization.
- Provide guidance to global HR and local management on performance related issues while promoting accountability across teams.
Talent Management
- Work closely with global HR on talent management strategies, on boarding and retention strategies as well as build a diverse and high-performance workforce for your dedicated client group.
- Help drive on succession planning for teams located in client group.
- Advise global HR teams with succession planning in the matrix organization.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure HR strategies comply with local labour laws and global policies.
- Support risk management and audit readiness across HR programs.
- Address all employee relations issues and act rapidly to mitigate risks.
- Responsible for that on-boarding administration and Workday is actioned and in line with global processes.
- Ensure all contracts and amendments to terms and conditions are complete, accurate and signed in line with the Statement of Authority and take ownership for standardising the administration process with a view to centralising globally as desired.
Recruitment
- Collaborate with hiring managers and global HRBP in the recruitment process making appropriate recommendations and support in the process.
- Continually carry out job analysis and review of job levels to support in organisational design and recruitment efforts.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
- Proven experience as a HR Manager or HR senior advisor/generalist level.
- Experience of working within framework of HR regulations/collective bargaining arrangements
- Experience of collaborating with workers councils.
- Proven record from working successfully with culture across more than one market.
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in all areas of human resource management.
- HR qualified (CIPD or local equivalent)
- Excellent spoken and written German & English language skills. Other European languages are a plus.
- Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and in-house HRIS systems).
- Comfortable using AI tools to drive efficiency/process
