Working closely with the Marketing Services team, the Physical Distribution’s team’s core responsibility is to handle all aspects of manufacturing, distribution and retail marketing, ensuring maximum exposure and sales for FUGA’s physical releases.
The Opportunity
The Physical Distribution Manager supports FUGA’s clients in its growing physical business line. This is a parental leave cover for 8 months, overseeing physical distribution for our European and APAC physical clients and owning the relationship with our European and APAC 3rd party distribution partners and retail. Responsibilities include logistics, stock control, release management, and budget oversight.
The position is suited to someone with experience in the global physical distribution landscape who is eager to grow within a fast-paced and expanding organisation. You are a highly motivated and ambitious individual with a genuine passion for all things physical - vinyl, CDs, cassettes and beyond - and a strong interest in the independent music sector. Exceptional organisational skills are essential, as the role requires managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
What You Do
Key Responsibilities:
- Release / project management - Timelines; Budgets; Logistics; Manufacturing; Profit & loss statements
- Department Activities - Global release schedule management and maintenance; Mechanical royalties administration; Stock control / inventory management
- Retail marketing (alongside marketing strategy)
- Partner management - Call outs; Updates; Preorder and sales tracking; Stock control / inventory
- D2C partner management
- Working cross functionally with global business development team to support new and existing client sales
Who You Are
- Proactive self-starter, able to manage own workload and support busy department
- Technologically savvy - Pro at Google Suite (bonus if you have some familiarity with Google Scripts)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively internally, across the business and with external clients and suppliers as required
- Demonstrable experience working in a physical distribution role, or other relevant experience within the music industry
- Fluent English (written and spoken) is essential. Proficiency in Swedish, Dutch or German is highly desirable but not required
- Experienced in building and scaling physical business and associated teams would be a bonus
- Understanding of finances & P&Ls as they pertain to physical projects
