ITW Electronics Assembly Equipment (a division of Illinois Tool Works, Inc. Position Purpose
This role provides administrative and accounting support to the Shared Services Group, with a primary focus on accounts payable processing and credit card transactions. The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely financial operations and maintaining strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Processing
- Process credit card transactions through online platforms
- Enter and process non-ERS (Evaluated Receipt Settlement) invoices
- Review and analyze freight files from third-party providers
- Process employee expense reports in Concur
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Post and reconcile Concur-related entries
- Perform monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with financial reporting and analysis as needed
Compliance & Documentation
- Support and maintain the 1099 reporting process
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping in compliance with company policies and retention requirements
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Assist with special projects and reporting as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and efficiency
Qualifications
Education
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2–4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
- Working knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Familiarity with Concur or similar expense management systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Physical requirements and working conditions:
- Primarily desk-based role with regular computer use
- May require extended periods of sitting and working at a computer
