About the role

DRW is a diversified trading firm with over 3 decades of experience bringing sophisticated technology and exceptional people together to operate in markets around the world. We value autonomy and the ability to quickly pivot to capture opportunities, so we operate using our own capital and trading at our own risk.

Headquartered in Chicago with offices throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Asia, we trade a variety of asset classes including Fixed Income, ETFs, Equities, FX, Commodities and Energy across all major global markets. We have also leveraged our expertise and technology to expand into three non-traditional strategies: real estate, venture capital and cryptoassets.

We operate with respect, curiosity and open minds. The people who thrive here share our belief that it’s not just what we do that matters–it's how we do it. DRW is a place of high expectations, integrity, innovation and a willingness to challenge consensus.

As an Infrastructure Support Engineer, in our Hong Kong office, you will work closely with our technology teams and external parties providing world-class support investigating and resolving a variety of technical and business issues every day. Your success will depend on your ability to rapidly identify and resolve business impacting issues. Your work will range from addressing time-sensitive, critical problems to managing long-term projects. You will provide direct, hands-on support to trading desks on a daily basis, and help define their technology requirements for other teams across the firm.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows administration and Office support
  • Experience with Linux desktop administration and support
  • Experience with data center physical and logistical operations
  • Experience supporting applications, process monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with ticket workflow and asset management

To succeed in this role you should be:

  • 3+ years of experience working in IT Infrastructure Support or Systems Infrastructure Support operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and collaborate with global teams
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-oriented environment, and thrive under time-sensitive and high-pressure situations
  • Self-starter with strong proactivity, sets ambitious goals, willingness to drive and own projects, and proactively identifies opportunities for impact
  • Flexible with on-call and weekend infrastructure change efforts
  • Demonstrated interest in automation and scripting

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
  • Exposure to cybersecurity principles and best practices.
