What’s the role

This position sits within the TRDI (Tech Reporting & Digital Integration) vertical within TAS, SEAM organization but will provide direct support to PT Global Quality Team for implementation through digitalization & simplification to deliver SQI Work scope.

As Quality Data Analyst you will work wide range of data related to maintenance, Supplier, Findings to identify quality gaps and to develop, design, and maintain compelling reports to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making for bridging the gaps and improving overall Quality of Shell Products, services, process etc. You will be collaborating with stakeholders at asset, TAS, Global leads to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications

What you’ll be doing

  • Work as part of natural team from TAS end in collaboration with multiple stakeholders to identify, prioritize and act to for specific task assigned.
  • Analysis of structured/ unstructured data. Support a project with an intent to generate reliable and actionable insights enabled through include data cleanse, data mining, benchmarking, reporting projects.
  • Develop/maintain job aids and ways of working documents. Train and onboard new team members as required.
  • Work on complex ETL problems & data visualization work with the tools e.g., PowerBI, Python, Alteryx and manage work through Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Utilize advanced Power BI features, such as DAX and Power Query, to create efficient and complex data models. Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data validation, cleaning, and transformation processes within Power BI. Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases to write the native queries, cloud services, and APIs, to ensure comprehensive data availability.
  • The role will also require the individual to ensure the deliverables to ensure correct prioritization of work, troubleshoot & propose technical solutions virtually, co-ordinate discussion with stakeholders conduct risk Assessments, ensure good QA/QC, record keeping, & final job closure.
  • Keeping track of initiatives for continuous improvement in terms of FTE savings and business value from delivered projects and ensuring that it progressed, and Asset/ TAS is getting benefitted through those improvement activities.
  • Ensure that activities are executed in line with Shell’s policies and standards. (Data protection, HSSE&SP, DEP, AMS, MEC)

What you bring

  • University Degree in Mechanical / Electrical /IT/ Instrumentation and other top-level disciplines.
  • Required minimum 3-4 years of industrial experience in Oil & Gas/ Petrochemicals/IT/Fertilizer /Power industry with experience and familiar with the daily operations, preventive & corrective maintenance/IT Skills. A good understanding of the Upstream/C&P/IG business and how it works.
  • Experience as an engineering user of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong understanding of Maintenance, Engineering and Facilities domain knowledge/experience and ready to leverage this knowledge for digitalization projects in Shell with these skills.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing & optimizing Power BI reports and dashboards and writing Python scripts. Strong proficiency in DAX and Power Query for data modeling and transformation.
  • Leverage Python for data analysis, automation of data workflows, and integration with Power BI. Develop and maintain Python scripts to preprocess, analyze, and visualize data, ensuring seamless integration with Power BI reports.
  • Interpret & understand the functions & maintenance activities of the various Equipment's (pumps, vessels, compressors, turbines, motors, field instruments, analyzer instruments, and control system instruments like PLC, and DCS instruments but not limited to) and a thorough knowledge of reading/ interpreting the engineering drawings (P&IDs, PEFS, PFDs).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

  • Data Analysis & Integration - Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights. Proficient in statistical analysis and data validation techniques.
  • Advanced PowerBI - Advanced proficiency in creating and managing Power BI reports and dashboards. Expertise in using DAX and Power Query for data modeling and transformations. Proficiency in integrating Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases, cloud services, and APIs. Ability to optimize data models and queries for performance.
  • Certification: Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Proficiency level – Skill)
  • Advanced SQL - Solid experience with SQL for querying databases and managing data. Solid experience with SQL for querying databases and managing data. Comfortable in writing queries which includes window functions, CTE/view and stored procedures, indexing /partitioning. Ability to optimize data models and queries for performance. Certification: Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals or similar (Proficiency level – Skill)
  • Python - Advanced skills in Python for data analysis, automation, and integration with Power BI. Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib. (Proficiency level – Skill)
  • Performance Tuning- Skills in using Power BI Performance Analyzer and other tools to identify and resolve performance issues. Experience in reducing visual complexity and optimizing visuals for performance. (Proficiency level – Knowledge)
  • Understanding, Interpret and collect data from multiple sources e.g., SAP ERP (GSAP P64, Blueprint P16, Chem GSAP P31, Maximo) and data lakes (AMDP, AIF), w-IMS/ w-RCM, and other Shell CAP tools (SPI, AVEVA EDW, Assai, AIM EDMS) related to maintenance and materials in an easy-to-understand way and able to build new insights from data. (Proficiency level – Skill)
  • Ability to use Azure Dev Ops for project management and Agile project experience. Work with source control technologies such as Git Hub and Azure DevOps. (Proficiency level – Knowledge)
  • Working with software development standards including clean coding and clean architecture principles. (Proficiency level – Awareness)
  • Ability to take a systematic and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail.
  • Strong Skills in compiling and analyzing data as well as recognizing trends and patterns relating to maintenance workflow and processes with proven analytical background.
