We're growing quickly and looking for a Staff Data Scientist to join our K.ATS team. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to work at the intersection of technology, investigations, and strategy, with a particular focus on blockchain and digital asset investigations. You will help clients navigate high-stakes matters involving digital assets, financial crime, cyber-enabled misconduct, regulatory risk, and complex forensic questions in rapidly evolving technology environments. 

About the Staff Data Scientist Role

Data Scientists at Keystone work on complex, data-driven engagements involving blockchain forensics, digital asset tracing, cybersecurity, investigative analytics, and technology-related disputes and compliance matters. We support case teams in developing rigorous analyses, conducting research, interpreting technical evidence, and translating findings into clear, defensible client-ready work product. 

This role is based in Boston, New York, or Washington, D.C. and offers the opportunity to work with multidisciplinary teams of consultants, data scientists, engineers, and senior experts on matters at the forefront of digital risk and innovation. 

Key Responsibilities 

Investigations and Analytical Execution 
• Support client engagements involving blockchain and digital asset investigations, cyber-enabled fraud, sanctions and compliance inquiries, and other complex technical investigative matters. 
• Conduct blockchain tracing and transactional analysis using Python and SQL across public ledgers and related data sources to identify fund flows, wallet activity, and patterns relevant to investigative questions.
