The Position
APAC Senior Lab IT Specialist, Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific
The Opportunity:
As the APAC Senior Lab IT Specialist, you will drive technical excellence, lead regional initiatives and empower affiliates across the Roche Diagnostics Asia Pacific landscape. You will bridge the gap between complex digital products and regional business needs, ensuring seamless project delivery and robust system integration.
As APAC Senior Lab IT Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Regional Strategy & Alignment: Collaborate with APAC affiliates, product marketing and Global Customer Support (GCS) teams to successfully align and adopt digital strategies across Roche Information Solution (RIS) and Roche Diagnostics Solution (RDS)
Technical Support & Escalations: Provide high-level technical support for APAC affiliates across Roche digital products, ensuring critical, escalated issues are efficiently resolved
Project Leadership: Lead the rollout and implementation of new features and products, coordinating seamlessly between internal stakeholders and regional affiliates
Community & Knowledge Transfer: Advocate for industry best practices, mentor team members and conduct regional workshops to drive continuous internal knowledge transfer
Process Optimization: Propose and execute continuous system and process improvements to enhance Lab IT service delivery across the APAC region
Future Proofing: Support the formulation of a sustainable, long-term APAC Lab IT support model aligned with the broader RIS strategy
Based in Singapore and reports to APAC Lab IT Team Manager, Service & Support, Lab & C-Suite Value Stream
Who You Are
Required Technical Skills & Background
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Biomedical Science
Experience: 5 years of hands-on experience in the clinical diagnostics field (e.g., as a Medical Technologist or LIS Administrator)
System Integration: Expert-level proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and diagnostics product integration
Technical Stack: Strong command of network topology, LINUX, SQL queries, data flow configurations, and interface engines utilizing ASTM/HL7 standards
Preferred Qualifications (Highly Desirable)
Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles relevant to healthcare environments, including medical device security, data privacy regulations, and threat vulnerability management
Familiarity with secure data transmission protocols and network segmentation within a hospital or laboratory infrastructure
Core Competencies & Soft Skills
Leadership Mindset: Accountable, self-driven and eager to take on challenging projects outside of routine responsibilities
Interpersonal Excellence: Strong communication, facilitation and negotiation skills, with full professional fluency in written and verbal English

Mobility: Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally up to 40% of the time
