Our Weekender Flex Program allows caregivers to work full-time between Friday – Sunday (night shift) every week, working only 36 hours, but receiving compensation for 44 hours.

A caregiver in this position works nights, from 7:00pm - 7:30am every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

A caregiver in this role will have a full-time status and all our benefits will be included.

Your primary duties will include:    

  • Planning, establishing, and evaluating patients for the correct type of treatment and care based on their diagnosis.    

  • Monitoring and putting in place patient care plans with advanced monitoring techniques.    

  • Performing advanced respiratory care modalities.    

  • Evaluating respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcomes.

  • Has strong critical thinking skills and can work under minimum supervision.      

  • Can demonstrate decisive judgement in stressful situations.    

  • Shows strong communication skills.      

  • Shows empathy and compassion in a patient-centered environment.    

 

Minimum requirements for this role include: 

  • Associate's Degree 

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program   

  • Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board licensure 

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialing through the National Board for Respiratory Care 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) credentialing through the American Heart Association (AHA) 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:    

  • Minimum 1 year experience in critical care   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Care  

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification   

  • Skills: active listening, collaboration, adaptability, critical thinking, accountability, independent working and receptive to feedback

Physical Requirements:

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.

  • May require sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
