Schedule & Compensation
• Sunday–Tuesday schedule
• 1 day dedicated to appointments
• 2 days dedicated to surgical procedures
• Opportunity to support both scheduled and emergency surgical cases
• Competitive pay based on experience
• Eligible for performance-based bonus
• Stay-late bonus available for add-on or extended surgical cases
Position Summary
As a Surgery LVT at PSVSE, you will be deeply involved in all aspects of advanced surgical care; from pre-operative preparation to anesthesia management, intraoperative monitoring, and post-operative recovery.
This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and the ability to think critically in both planned and emergent situations. You will utilize advanced analgesia and anesthesia techniques, operate ventilators, and collaborate closely with your surgeon and team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

What You’ll Do
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia for a wide range of surgical procedures
• Utilize advanced anesthesia and analgesia protocols tailored to each patient
• Operate and monitor ventilators during anesthesia
• Assist with and support complex surgical procedures alongside a board-certified surgeon
• Run anesthesia for CT imaging cases
• Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, lab work, and pre-op assessments
• Monitor sedated and hospitalized surgical patients
• Maintain sterile technique and support surgical suite efficiency
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding procedures and aftercare
• Maintain accurate, detailed medical records
• Collaborate with ER and specialty teams for both scheduled and emergency surgical cases
Case Variety & Experience
This role offers exposure to a diverse and exciting caseload, including:
• Orthopedic procedures (TPLO, fracture repair, arthroscopy)
• Soft tissue surgeries (foreign body removals, mass removals, wound repairs)
• Advanced procedures (liver lobectomies, splenectomies, exploratory surgeries)
• Emergency surgical interventions
• CT imaging with anesthesia support
What We’re Looking For
• Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential required
• Previous surgical and anesthesia experience required
• Experience with advanced anesthesia, analgesia, and ventilator use strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate surgical needs
• Confidence in high-acuity and fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A passion for learning and advancing your technical skillset

Pay Range: $34-$40 per hour
