Roles and Responsibilities
Architecture Design & Strategy
- Define and lead application architecture strategy aligned with business and product goals
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance application systems
- Establish architecture standards, best practices, and design patterns
- Drive adoption of modern architectures (microservices, event-driven, cloud-native)
Technical Leadership
- Provide hands-on architectural guidance to development teams
- Conduct architectural reviews and ensure alignment with standards
- Mentor engineers and influence technical decision-making
- Lead resolution of complex technical challenges
System Integration & Collaboration
- Collaborate with product, platform, data, and infrastructure teams
- Ensure seamless integration across systems, APIs, and external platforms
- Work with global teams to maintain consistency across solutions
Software Quality & Governance
- Ensure application design meets quality, reliability, and security requirements
- Define non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability)
- Support DevOps and CI/CD practices for continuous delivery
- Establish monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks
Technology & Innovation
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and frameworks
- Drive application modernization and legacy transformation
- Promote reusability and platform-based development
Quality Specific Goals:
- Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
- Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
- Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
- Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables
- Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 15–20 years of experience in software development and architecture.
- Proven experience in application architecture design and implementation.
- Experience in object-oriented design methodology and various programming languages, including C/C++, C#
- Understanding DevOps, CI/CD pipelines.
- Business-level English communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related computer field.
- Experience in application development using modern frameworks and development tools.
- Experience in medical image processing.
- Experience in integrating AI/ML models into applications.
- Experience with API development and system integration.
- Experience with UI frameworks (WPF, Qt).
- Experience with integrating open-source solutions into applications.
- Experience in microservices or modular architecture
- Experience in Git-based collaboration workflows
- Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)
