Medical Assistant - Herman 'Denny' Farrell Community Health Center – Ambulatory Care Services  – Day Flex

Provide compassionate patient focus and superior customer service -keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Assist practitioners and Management by performing blood draws and taking vital signs of patients in clinic. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities.

This is a full time  position. The schedule for this position is as follows: Monday, Thursday & Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Tuesday & Wednesday from 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Preferred Criteria

  • Experience in an outpatient setting or experience with family practice

  • Experience with Nurse Practitioners, preferably with Family Nurse Practitioners in an outpatient setting

  • Bilingual English/Spanish                              

                                                

Required Criteria 

  • Successful completion of an approved Medical Assistant program

  • High School Diploma or GED

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
