About the role
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide support for all department events including research, planning, and logistics
- Contribute new, creative, and innovative ideas formulate ideas and designs for event and social media promotions
- Coordinate internal and external collaborations and manage communications with other departments and external vendors
- Oversee office operations and front desk Assist with operational and facility improvement projects
- Inventory of department-owned assets
- Provide summary and evaluation reports for events and programming
- Represent the department at University events
- Administration assistance and other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Minimum Qualifications:
Required to work up to 40 hours a week
Flexible schedule; some weekends and evenings required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong computer, administrative, and organizational skills
Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive student information
Driver’s License to be an LU-approved driver

Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) is required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
