Job Summary

We are seeking an Accounting Manager – Finance Operations & Transformation to support finance transformation initiatives through process improvement, automation, systems optimization, and the application of practical, AI-enabled solutions.

Working closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams, this role will play a key part in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across finance operations.

This accounting leadership position will provide oversight and support across General Ledger, Transaction Services (AP/AR), compliance reporting, and overall finance operations, while also contributing to the development and growth of the Philippines Shared Services finance team.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with flexibility to work remotely from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Manila time).

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

General Accounting & Finance:

• Coordinate and support US Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Support Finance Governance, Compliance and reporting, including but not limited to FAR overhead, US and Canadian jurisdiction indirect taxes, and other compliance reporting.
• Assist with maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports prepared by support staff.
• Support the development of the Philippines GI shared services finance team, including training and mentoring staff.
• Support project-based accounting activities and improve visibility in financial performance.
• Collaborate with GI finance managers and Brand Finance teams to improve processes and operational efficiency.
• Support internal and external audits and assist with audit preparation activities.
• Communicate risks, issues, and improvement opportunities to finance leadership.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by management.

Automation and AI Transformation:

• Assist in developing scalable processes, procedures, and service-level expectations across finance operations.
• Identify inefficiencies in finance workflows and support process improvement initiatives.
• Support and implement automation initiatives across finance processes.
• Evaluate and support practical AI use cases such as reconciliations, invoice processing, reporting, and anomaly detection.
• Support and optimize ERP and finance systems; partner with IT and HRIS on integrations.
• Assist in ensuring financial data integrity and usability for reporting and analysis.
• Develop automation solutions to support internal and external audits.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and standardization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in accounting or finance operations.
• Strong understanding of GL, close processes, AP/AR, and internal controls.
• Experience in A&E, construction, or project-based industries preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems (Deltek, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar).
• Exposure to automation and data tools preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot or similar platform).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High integrity and collaborative mindset.
• Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
