We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical finance professional to support the R&D Cloud and Finance Operations function. The role will be responsible for driving forecasting, budgeting, cloud cost tracking, financial analysis, and monitoring of Cloud P&L and Capex investments to support strategic decision-making and cost optimization initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in R&D finance, including Cloud P&L management, cloud cost governance, royalty accounting, Capex investment tracking, stakeholder management, and financial planning processes. This role will also play a critical part in advancing automation and Agentic AI initiatives to improve operational efficiency, financial visibility, and reporting effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasting and budgeting activities for R&D and Cloud and FinOps functions.

  • Monitor and analyze Cloud P&L performance, including cloud infrastructure spend, unit economics, pricing support, and operational cost drivers.

  • Prepare and analyse Cloud P&L reports, cloud Finance operation highlighting key variances, trends, and risks.

  • Track and govern Capex budgets related to cloud investments, infrastructure expansion, and R&D initiatives.

  • Support month-end close activities, including timely accruals, invoice follow-ups, and validation of open POs, while driving process improvements to enhance efficiency, data integrity, and compliance.

  • Partner with Engineering, Product, Procurement, and Finance leadership to support strategic planning and business decision-making.

  • Manage and support royalty, OEM, and revenue-sharing partnership reporting and financial analysis.

  • Develop dashboards, KPI reporting and financial reports for cloud spend visibility and management review.

  • Perform variance analysis between actuals, forecast, and budget, providing actionable insights.

  • Support cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and accounting standards.

  • Build automated reporting and agentic AI solutions using approved AI tools (Claude, Copilot) and partner with the business to meet their financial reporting needs and hands on using Claude, Power BI, Tableau and external portal like GCP and MS Azure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • MBA, CA, CPA, or equivalent degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.

  • 7–9 years of experience in FP&A, R&D Finance, Cloud Finance, FinOps, or Capex management.

  • Strong expertise in forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.

  • Hands-on experience managing Cloud P&L, cloud infrastructure costs, and Capex tracking.

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud cost structures, including GCP and Microsoft Azure.

  • Experience supporting royalty accounting, OEM partnerships, and revenue-share business models.

  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Coupa, and AI-enabled productivity tools.

  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Advanced Excel and financial planning skills; familiarity with Salesforce, Tableau, Adaptive Insights, and NetSuite a plus

  • Experience using AI tools (Claude, Copilot) to automate workflows and reduce bottlenecks

  • Strong business acumen with accounting/finance background

  • Curious self-starter who takes initiative and solves problems independently

  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
