Job Description

The Opportunity

Brightflag is growing. As a market leader, with a product that customers truly love, we’re scaling quickly. To continue to build and evolve our AI-first product we’re growing our Product & Engineering team across multiple disciplines. We have an exceptional team and a high bar. We challenge ourselves with ambitious goals, best practice standards and a drive for continuous improvement. If you want to grow, get better, and accelerate your career within a driven product team, Brightflag is the place for you.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will own meaningful product domains end-to-end, from early discovery through to delivery and iteration. You will work closely with Product and Engineering in a true product trio, helping to shape the problem space, explore solutions, and bring clarity through strong design thinking and craft. You will be working on complex, enterprise-grade workflows in a B2B SaaS environment, where thoughtful discovery, pragmatic research, and a strong human-centred approach to solving real customer problems really matter. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will sharpen problem definition, elevate the quality of our craft, strengthen collaboration across teams, and play a key part in how our design practice grows as Brightflag scales.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Communicate design vision and decisions clearly to cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Contribute to product strategy by identifying new problem spaces and opportunities, and influencing long-term direction through strong design thinking.
  • Lead and contribute to human-centred discovery and research: define problems clearly, validate opportunities, and ensure the team is solving the right customer needs.
  • Use product analytics data alongside customer insight to inform design decisions, identify friction or opportunity, and turn signals into clear, actionable design direction.
  • Work closely with your product trio (Product & Engineering) to shape solutions collaboratively and continuously.
  • Hold a strong point of view on the long-term user experience, but make pragmatic calls that help us ship and learn in the short term.
  • Bring structure to messy, ambiguous problem spaces. Use sketches, flows, prototypes, and system thinking to help the team see the problem clearly and align on a way forward.
  • Be clear about why we’re making certain design decisions. Talk through trade-offs openly and build trust with Product, Engineering, and leadership.
  • Stay close to real customer workflows. Work with Customer Success and Support to understand what’s actually happening on the ground and feed that back into the product.
  • Help raise the bar for how we design at Brightflag, from critique and craft to research, design systems, and how we work across squads.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in the role, you need:

  • 7+ years of experience in Product Design within a product-led SaaS environment.
  • Proven product design craft expertise. Experience owning meaningful product areas end-to-end, not just delivering screens, but shaping the problem space and seeing it through to impact.
  • Strong in human-centred design and discovery. Comfortable framing problems properly, exploring options, speaking with customers, and validating direction before we commit to build.
  • Used to working closely with Product and Engineering as part of a tight product trio — collaborating early and often, not working in handoffs.
  • Experience designing complex, workflow-heavy B2B products.
  • Clear communicator who can explain their thinking, talk through trade-offs, and influence decisions.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, making principled trade-offs that balance user value, technical constraints, and business priorities.
  • Experienced working in iterative, Agile product environments, designing in small increments and learning continuously.
  • Able to use both qualitative research and quantitative product data to shape decisions, prioritise effectively, and evaluate the impact of shipped work.
  • Expert-level use of Figma.
  • Comfortable working with product analytics tools (e.g. Amplitude, Mixpanel, GA or similar).

The following are a bonus:

  • Experience working on AI-driven or data-rich products
  • Experience usin
