About the role
Title:
Industry Lead, TransportShape the future of transport in Queensland
KBR is seeking an experienced and highly connected Industry Lead – Transport to play a pivotal role in growing our Queensland transport portfolio.
Working closely with the QLD Market Sector Manager – Transport, you will lead client engagement, drive strategic pursuits, and help win and deliver major projects across Transport and Main Roads (TMR), Local Government Authorities (LGAs), and key strategic clients.
This is a senior leadership opportunity to influence the direction of KBR’s transport business while also taking on key project leadership roles across the state.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will:
- Lead client engagement and build strong relationships across TMR and LGAs to grow KBR’s project pipeline
- Develop and drive capture and pursuit strategies for major transport opportunities
- Support bidding, winning and delivering projects across Queensland, including the South Coast region
- Provide leadership and oversight to ensure successful project outcomes (technical, client-facing and commercial)
- Act as Project Manager on key projects where required
- Mentor and develop junior project managers, strengthening capability across the QLD transport team
- Work collaboratively across disciplines and geographies to maximise project outcomes
- Represent KBR at industry and client events, enhancing our presence in the Queensland transport market
About You
You are a recognised transport leader with a strong network and proven success in winning and delivering projects across Queensland.
You will bring:
- 15+ years’ experience delivering transport infrastructure projects
- A degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- RPEQ / CPEng (or ability to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience in leading bids and securing project work
- Established relationships with TMR, LGAs, and key industry clients
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- A passion for mentoring and developing high-performing teams
- Commercial acumen and the ability to drive performance outcomes
