Job Details:

General Notes:

  • The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas hosts the International Symposium on Journalism (ISOJ), an annual conference that convenes journalists, media executives and scholars for two days of discussion on online journalism

Purpose:

  • The Knight Center for Journalism in the Americas is looking for an intern to assist with event planning for our International Symposium on Online Journalism. The intern will assist with logistics for planning the 2026 ISOJ. This position is for 10 hours a week and is paid. You must be able to work out of our office in DMC.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with booking flights and hotel accommodations for panelists and speakers
  • Communicating information about flight and hot itineraries
  • Ensuring all panelists and speakers arrangements are accounted for in spreadsheet, including dates, times and cost
  • Other tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Current student at UT Austin

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Available to work M-F between 8am-4pm in office at the Moody College of Communication

Salary:

  • $15/hr

Weekly Scheduled Hours:

  • 10 hours/wk
