Job Description
Amazon Operations Brazil is seeking a full-time Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to work at a designated Fulfillment Center (FC), coordinating and implementing all areas of Amazon’s Global Program as well as local regulations, under the guidance of leadership. The Specialist fosters a positive culture by adhering to Amazon’s standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This includes conducting training sessions and coaching associates regarding observed work practices.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify and inform management regarding compliance issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly audits;
- Facilitate the incident investigation process;
- Maintain necessary documentation to ensure compliance with local and Amazon requirements;
- Enter incident information into the internal database in a timely manner;
- Conduct inspections and audits;
- Train and assist others (Area Managers, team members, etc.) in fulfilling their responsibilities (audits, adherence to rules, etc.);
- Conduct specific training as required;
- May hold additional responsibility for fire prevention, hazardous waste management, or other related activities, depending on the business unit and location;
- Participate in process improvement activities and manage actions through to completion;
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for reporting to local management teams and corporate reporting systems;
- Support management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations as well as applicable federal and state laws;
- Conduct risk assessments related to work performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and the introduction of new equipment;
- Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomic solutions.
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English;
- Specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering with a valid professional registration.
- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience in data analysis and problem solving
- Knowledge in E-social and others mandatory occupational programs

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree;- Speak, write, and read fluently in English;
- Specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering with a valid professional registration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in emergency response- Experience in the data/BI space
- Experience in data analysis and problem solving
- Knowledge in E-social and others mandatory occupational programs
