About the role
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Primarily responsible for receiving shipments of parts and supplies for various departments; process receiving paperwork and inventory items. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Receive shipments and process paperwork.
- Ensure all shipments are correct.
- Do all tasks assigned by members of management.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
- Ability to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours as needed.
- Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous poultry industry experience.
- Basic math functions and skills.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to safety requirements
- Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC).
- Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift.
- Ability to be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and climb steps.
- Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, crawl, and bend.
- Ability to work in an environment with strong, raw and foul odors.
