As a Senior Technical Engineer you will work with users and business analyst to define system requirements and analyze system problems. May be responsible for leading the necessary technical work need for data migration and integrations.

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Technical Engineer who will work with the Team Lead, relevant business stakeholders, IT system owners, business analyst and business users in support of the operation and maintenance of the enterprise's procurement systems. full-time and hybrid in Mandaluyong City.
What You'll Do

  • Able to analyze procurement and financial systems and perform data mapping for data migration or integration

  • Has technical skills to implement data migration and/or integration

  • Able to write user stories and/or requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely

  • Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents. Participate in peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications to ensure that the requirements were interpreted correctly

  • Able to decompose high-level business and user requirements into functional requirements and specified in an appropriate level of detail suitable for use by those must base their work on the requirements

  • Able to prepare test data and test developed programs against user requirements

  • Work closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction

  • Able to define quality attributes, external interfaces, constraints, and other nonfunctional requirements

  • Support requirements analysis and verification, ensuring that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standards

  • Participate in the implementation of the new system/solution

  • Provide support to business users on production issues, how to and clarifications

  • Able to guide business users and service desk on issues raised in production and clearly advise users/service desk on the functionalities available in company's procurement systems

  • Able to handle technical work such as updating PL/SQL codes or Java codes where possible

  • Able to extract report and update data as requested by business users and approved by business owners ensuring such ad hoc updates will not compromise the features of the system

  • Work with other technical engineers in the delivery of data migration and/or integrations

  • Willing to learn new products and/or development tools as necessary

  • Able to help and advice others based on their specialist area of knowledge and skill

What You'll Need

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting or related discipline

  • Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level

  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in a senior system analyst role, two (2) of which should be working with senior users

  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in Oracle ERP, Procurement or Financial-related applications

  • At least five (5) years’ experience in implementing data migration and/or data integrations between systems

  • Must have extensive experience using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Project) for professional documentation

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English

  • Familiarity with Oracle relational databases and multi-tiered application concepts

  • Familiarity with different integration techniques

  • Extensive knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC) and utilization in system development projects

  • Well-developed knowledge and understanding of relevant business administration, operational policies relevantbwork program and concepts, procedures and practices

  • Proven ability to conduct independent research by analyzing relationships among several parts of a problem or situation; breaking down a complex task into manageable parts in a systematic way, recognizing several likely causes of events, or several consequences of actions and generally anticipate obstacles and thinks ahead about next steps

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
