About the location:

Your own private paradise on a lush coral island. On Desroches Island, there is nothing to distract you from tranquillity, save for the sound of birds singing and an ocean breeze that invites you to come a little closer. We’re the only resort on this captivating coral island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, where the beaches belong to no one and everyone at the same time. Our rustic villas and suites are intimate retreats and will make you feel like a castaway who has struck gold.

1. Checks in guest in an efficient and friendly manner, using guest name whenever possible. Assures that guest is assigned type of room requested and the correct rate is charged. Arranges for luggage to be delivered to guest room. Issues correct keys to the guest.

2. Checks out guest at end of stay. Ascertains guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges and presents bill to guest. Settles bill accurately through credit card or cash transaction.

3. Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, in-house events, directions, etc.

4. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone.

5. Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports.

6. Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

7. Accepts reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff. Can answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Communications Operator.

8. Handle the FS chat and respond to the guest requests in the absence of the PBX agent.

9. Compete the daily tasks assigned to you, saving reports, all the billing transactions on the system to be done and printed for managers’ approval.

10. Preparation for all the essential of the pre-arrival phase, Reg cards, for the guests, all the offerings and the activity sheets to be placed in the villa.

11. Handle guest requests, complaints, and any special problems keeping FO Management well informed and ensure proper follow-up and Glitches are reported.

12. Understand and respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

13. Always maintain cleanliness of working area.

14. Align with Forbes & LQA standards in all the services & guest connection you provide.

Non-Essential Functions:

1. Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in the areas of the Concierge, Bell Staff, and lobby coverage.

2. Provides basic trouble-shooting support for in-room services such as Internet, TV movies, games, and Web service.

3. Works closely with Bell Staff to ensure smooth handling of guest luggage, deliveries and special requests.

4. Perform other duties or projects as assigned by hotel & department management
