Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with the launch of a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. The Hub strengthens the technology foundation that supports our business worldwide, working in close partnership with teams across regions to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions at scale. Designed as a long-term investment, the Pune Hub will advance newer digital capabilities such as automation, data, AI, and cloud, and will include roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams. Together, these teams will help Edwards operate more efficiently and accelerate innovation in support of our mission of advancing patient care.

The Architect establishes and maintains enterprise and/or domain-level architecture through planning, design, execution, and operation. This includes developing and implementing the standards and practices necessary to realize and sustain the application technology stack in alignment with architectural plans. The Architect also provides expert consultation to inform both strategic and tactical technology decisions—covering areas such as web and app servers, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and high availability of application clusters. The overarching goal is to cultivate a scalable, extensible, interoperable, and adaptable IT ecosystem that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. 

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow CMDB Architect to design, implement and govern a scalable, high quality Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role will define data models, integrations, and governance to ensure accurate, trusted configuration data that enables ITSM, ITOM, Asset Management, and business services. The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with deep ServiceNow expertise, strong stakeholder influence and experience driving enterprise CMDB maturity.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Define CMDB architecture based on vision and roadmap based aligned to business and IT objectives
  • Design CI class models, relationships and data normalization standards
  • Establish service mapping, dependency mapping and business service models
  • Ensure CMDB scalability and define and enforce CMDB governance, policies and standards
  • Create and manage CI lifecycle processes (creation, update, archival, retirement)
  • Monitor and improve CMDB health dashboards and KPIs
  • Optimize identification and reconciliation (IRE) rules
  • Guide adoption of best practices of CSDM
  • Act as CMDB domain lead and trusted advisor to IT and business leaders
  • Identify and define the opportunities for integration, selecting the tools, specifying the shared data & code resources, defining the interfaces and dataflows, and monitoring the success of the integration for tactical projects / initiatives 
  • Provide oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and practices through all aspects of planning, execution, and operation. 
  • Other general and administrative tasks 

What you’ll need (Required):

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Natural Sciences & Mathematics or a related discipline 
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT
  • At least 5 years of experience demonstrably solid performance in an architect role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills 
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives and communicate to various levels of audience or to explain complex or technical matters in a manner suitable for non-technical audiences 
  • Recognized as an expert in own area within the organization
