Job Description:
The Synthetic Flight Instructor is responsible to instruct airline crew converting to Airbus aircraft on all operational, technical and performance aspects for A320 aircraft. The instructor is also responsible to assist the Head of Training with other related duties when assigned.
Responsibilities:
Instruct airline crew converting to Airbus on all operational and technical aspects for a specific type (or types) using Flight Training Devices (FTD), Fixed Base Simulators (FBS), Full Flight Simulators (FFS), Lecture rooms, in order to ensure their capability to carry out safely and correctly all normal and emergency procedures required by Airworthiness and licensing authorities
Instruct airline crew converting to Airbus aircrafts on all operational and technical aspects for a particular type of aircraft, using all equipment: FBS, FTD, Airbus Pilot Trainer (APT+), mock-ups
Conduct theoretical training for type-rating courses, flight operations courses and aircraft performance
Adhere to Airbus standard policy and standardisation as required by Flight Development and Flight Standardization & Policy
Instruct the crews within the defined time limits
Evaluates the crews’ progression regarding the aircraft systems knowledge within the predetermined time scale of the course
Decides, if required, on the necessity to accord extra training to achieve the required level of proficiency and competence as defined in the training objectives
Participate in review or development of training programme as assigned by Head of Training (HOT)
Maintain a high level of airmanship to teach in a multicultural environment
Assist with flight training audits and Flight Simulator Training Device (FSTD) fly-outs and qualifications
Ensure the pilots have reached the standard level of knowledge and passed the final systems and performance exams
Maintain the required instructor competencies performance
Requirements:
Hold or Have held a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) & Frozen ATPL (Air Transport Pilot License) or a Valid ATPL
Possess previous or current instructor/examiner experience
With minimum 3000 hours as Pilot
With minimum 1500 hours on MPA
With minimum 1500 hours on Airbus Fly-by-wire (FBW) aircraft type(s)
Fluent in English, minimum English Language Proficiency Rating of 5
Preference will be given to candidates who have completed the Airbus Pilot Instructor Course (APIC)
