Position Overview:
We are searching for a technical leader to shape our software strategy, foster technical and customer engagement, and guide team execution in China’s automotive segment. This hybrid role blends field applications leadership, customer interaction, and technical team management, requiring a candidate who is technically proficient in embedded software and automotive electronics, commercially savvy, and adept at bridging communication between sales, customers, business units, technical teams, and global engineering groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and nurture the China automotive software and system team, providing technical mentorship, resource allocation, strategic prioritization, and performance oversight.
- Take ownership of customer-facing software and application support for ADI’s automotive semiconductor offerings, including evaluation, integration, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Collaborate closely with sales and field teams to drive business expansion, focusing on strategic accounts and design-in initiatives.
- Engage technically with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 customers, facilitating embedded software development, reference platform integration, system implementation, and product deployment.
- Coordinate with business units, product lines, software teams, and applications groups to ensure alignment between customer needs, development roadmaps, deliverables, and support models.
- Develop scalable software and application support across automotive product categories, ensuring responsiveness, technical excellence, and consistency.
- Represent the China team in critical customer meetings and internal reviews, acting as the principal software and application leader for automotive.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive semiconductors, embedded software, and automotive electronics.
- At least 5 years of experience in people management or technical team leadership.
- Proven track record of supporting China automotive OEMs, Tier 1s, and ecosystem partners in customer-facing roles.
- Comprehensive knowledge of automotive electronic systems and semiconductor applications, with a solid understanding of embedded software architecture, drivers, middleware, BSP/firmware, debugging, and system integration.
- Strong business acumen and customer-centric mindset, with the ability to connect technical engagement directly to customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
- Exceptional communication skills in both Chinese and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in automotive audio, connectivity, DSP, ADAS, Display, BMS, edge processing, Power, and sensing technologies.
- Familiarity with automotive development processes and customer quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead local teams while collaborating effectively with global engineering organizations.
