Job Description
We are looking for an experienced individual to join Commodities team in Singapore within Citi Global Markets to be responsible for originating physical commodities linked financing transactions (ownership structures, prepayments, liquidity swaps) across the commodities spectrum in Asia.
While the role will sit within the Metals organization and primarily be focused on Metals-related opportunities in APAC, the mandate is cross-commodity as well as cross-regional. The individual in the role will be asked to drive relationships in energy commodities in AsiaPac as well.
The role will co-report to the Corporate Metals and Commodities Financing teams.

Responsibilities:
- Deal identification, origination and execution of commodity financing transactions across commodities spectrum with corporate and sovereign clients in AsiaPac region
- Primary focus on Metals-related opportunities (Precious Metals, Industrial Metals, Bulks) but cross-commodity mandate for AsiaPac Energy
- Driving large transactions from inception to execution by partnering with all internal partners across the bank and the clients to deliver bespoke working capital solutions
- Trusted advisor for the Commodities financing solutions provided to clients
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Trading, Structuring, Logistics and O&T in order to close deals.
- To grow the business through Citi’s existing client base as well as developing new relationships
- Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
- Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
Qualifications:
- This is not an entry level position. Proven experience in a similar position is required.
- Strong understanding of the market, players and the suite of commodity financing structures - ownership structures, prepayments, liquidity swaps
- Previous experience in client-facing roles with proven track record on growing and maintaining relationships
- Demonstrated deal track record across Asia with existing network of contacts. Experience in deal track record in Energy sector is preferred
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple functional groups in a cohesive manner.

- Ability to work with broad group of stakeholders
- Willing to travel
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
